Created entirely from pieces of pages of the vintage coffee table book, “The World of Beretta - An International Legend” by R. L. Wilson, Random House New York, 2000 (purchased for a donation of $2 at a museum library store sale) this intimate self portrait belies how I survived quarantine 2020 and the initial months of my separation leading up to my divorce - through art - slowly, purposefully, filled with military bearing (hence the reference to my military firearms training hidden within the portrait) and, yes, one day at a time. Original 9”x12” mixed media collage on Bristol board (the Bristol board being the only thing not recycled/purchased second hand in this piece).
